How many times have you gone to the doctor for something like brain fog, stubborn acne, period mood swings, or low energy—only to be told, “Everything looks normal”? Maybe they ran a basic CBC or CMP panel (if that), and sent you on your way. Meanwhile, you’re still feeling off, and your symptoms are slowly stacking up.
Then you start noticing your friends mention the same things… but everyone brushes it off with, “That’s just part of getting older.” But is it?
We’ve normalized dysfunction. We’ve been told feeling exhausted, bloated, moody, or inflamed is just what happens with age. And yet, deep down, you know that’s not the whole story. So you start searching for answers—maybe your bathroom fills up with skincare products, or your counter with a dozen supplements an influencer swore by—yet nothing seems to shift.
I get it. I’ve been there. And I want to celebrate something in you right now: your curiosity.
Most people give up or settle. You’re here because you’re listening to that quiet (or not-so-quiet) voice inside you that says, “This isn’t normal for me.” That curiosity is powerful—it’s a sign you’re ready to step into self-trust and start reconnecting with your body. And it’s exactly what most systems overlook.
Here’s a quick story:
A friend of mine once called saying she had intense shoulder pain at night. I told her it sounded like gallbladder inflammation—something most wouldn’t consider. Two weeks later, she was rushed into emergency surgery to have it removed. Why? Because the phrenic nerve, which connects to the diaphragm and gallbladder, refers pain up to the right shoulder. See? The body is always talking—we just need to know how to listen.
Here are a few symptoms I frequently see in my practice, and what they may actually point to:
These are just a few of the body’s red flags—there’s always a deeper reason your body is holding onto imbalance.
Your symptoms are not random. They’re not annoying background noise. They are your body’s built-in communication system—a gentle nudge, a whisper, and eventually, a scream when something is out of alignment.
And it’s not just physical. This same disconnect shows up in our lives—when we ignore our gut instincts, stay in situations we know don’t feel right, or silence our inner voice to be “logical” or “rational.”
But what if your symptoms were your body’s way of guiding you home?
Your journey back to health doesn’t start with another crash diet or miracle product. It starts with remembering that your body is wise—and everything you need is already within you.
So no, your symptoms aren’t “just part of getting older.”
They’re part of a deeper message, one that deserves to be heard, honored, and healed.
Are you ready to listen?
With love,
Ashley
